History of Intimacy Direction : Introduction to the history of intimacy direction and the role of the first people to classify and develop this area of the industry. This session focuses on detailing the role of an Intimacy Director explaining the methodology used as the basis for our work and also the pathway to Intimacy Director Accreditation. 

Comprehensive consent and boundaries: - the concept of consensual touch between actors and establishing the difference between permission and consent. This section explores the evolution of consent and topical discussion surrounding consent and safe intimacy for all cast and crew. We also explore "Boundary work" which helps the actors on set to distinguish what their boundaries are before having to find out 'in the moment'. 

Introduction to the Pillars of Intimacy: - this is the methodology designed and conceptualized by Tonia Sina and is the basis of all Intimacy Directors International's philosophy. These pillars focus on consent, context, communication, choreography and closure of intimate work. These pillars are used throughout our Intimacy Director training.

Way forward: During this session we will discuss to how protect the work of intimacy director as well as practical ways to raise the standard of the industry regarding intimacy for the stage.
